Community Fund
Unrestricted. Disbursements made by the Community Foundation board to benefit the Cattaraugus region and its residents.
Allegany Community Beautification Fund
Established by the Village of Allegany in order to fund projects to retain and enhance the beauty of Allegany, thus fostering a better sense of community spirit.
Allegany Nordic Fund
Established by Allegany Nordic, a group of regional cross country skiing enthusiasts, this fund aims to assist the cross-country skiing program on the Art Roscoe Trails of the Allegany State Park.
Allegheny River Trail Endowment
Established to receive donated funds to construct the Allegheny River Trail. The Trail project was instrumental in establishing the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation. Grants restricted to Trail projects and improvements.
Anonymous II Fund
Carroll Anstaett Olean Little League Fund
Established by Carroll Anstaett in order to benefit the Olean Little League.
Audible Signals for Olean
Established in 2006. Spearheaded by the Bartimole family to erect audible traffic signals at key intersections to aid the blind and visually impaired to safely cross the streets.
Beautification Fund for the Olean Community
Established anonymously to improve and enhance the beauty of the Olean area. Distribution as per the Community Foundation allocations committee to projects aimed at improving the Olean area.
Council on Addiction Recovery Services (CAReS) Fund
Established by CAReS board of directors. Funds are to support the mission and services of the council.
Center for Family Unity Endowment
Established by the Center for Family Unity of Salamanca.
Challenger Learning Center Fund
Established by the Challenger Learning Center of the Twin Tier Region board of directors to build and operate a center.
Samuel Costa, Jr. Foundation
Established by Mr. Costa. This fund benefits St. Elizabeth’s and St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Churches, Smethport United Way and Hamlin Memorial Library, all in Pennsylvania.
Dictionary Fund
Established by Dahmen Brown and Mary Gallagher as part of the Dictionaries for Kids project to provide Cattaraugus County third graders with their own dictionaries each year.
Paula Flint Fund for the Performing Arts
Established in memory of Paula with the purpose of supporting performing arts.
Gift Tree Endowment
Established to provide additional financial help to the Gift Tree Project when needed. The Gift Tree Project assists the less fortunate in providing Christmas to their families.
Hillview Playground Fund
Non-endowed. Funds are to benefit the Hillview Playground in Salamanca.
F. Donald Kenney Foundation
Established by Chris Sonne, Executor of the F. Donald Kenney estate. Endowment to be used to support art shows and competitions through the Cattaraugus County Arts Council, including the Southern Tier Biennial juried art show.
Kothari Family Endowment
Established by Drs. Ashok and Yogini Kothari to benefit Genesis House, Jamestown Community College for cultural events, the Olean General Hospital and the Olean Food Pantry. A portion of the fund will go toward an annual scholarship available to Allegany-Limestone graduates pursuing nursing. A percentage of the fund will remain unrestricted in order to meet the changing needs of our community.
Mahar Family Foundation
Established by Francis and Roberta Mahar in memory of Francis, Margaret and Daniel Mahar to benefit various charitable causes.
Manual Trust
Established by a local businessman for various charities.
Mildred Milliman Fund (formerly Anonymous)
Established by Mildred Milliman. Distributions benefit 34 different charities. The distribution amount has been established for each, with the only variable being Olean General Hospital.
Mountain Sports Fund
Established by a group from Holiday Valley to provide scholarship aid for the amateur ski and racing teams of Holiday Valley.
Olean Beautification Fund
Created in order to fund projects making Olean more beautiful, beginning with trash receptacle for downtown.
Olean City School District Foundation
Established by a group of alumni, with the intention of the endowment becoming large and giving the school a revenue stream for some programs that will no longer be included in the school budget.
Olean Food Pantry Endowment
Established by the Olean Food Pantry to provide a revenue stream as needed.
Rose Pappas Endowment
Established by Betty Pappas to honor the memory of her sister. This fund makes distributions to or through various organizations to help those who are less fortunate.
Luella Potter Endowment
Established by a group of parents of children attending Southern Tier Catholic School to honor Luella Potter for her years of dedication and service to STCS.
Doris Reisner Endowment
Established by Doris Reisner and her children. Funds are distributed to 10 different charities.
Lewis & Doris Reisner Endowment
Established by Doris Reisner and her children in memory of her husband, Dr. Lewis Reisner. Fund distributions benefit Olean General Hospital as per the children’s suggestion.
St. John’s Church Endowment
Established by parishioners of St. John’s Church to help support the church’s different projects.
Salamanca Area Senior Center Fund
Established to collect funds for the proposed senior center.
Santa Claus Lane
Endowment to financially help the Santa Claus Lane Project for the City of Olean.
Southern Tier Military Support Group Fund
Established to aid military personnel and their families. The group routinely sends care packages to troops overseas and often helps area families with soldiers who have died or been injured.
TADJM Endowment
Established by Yvonne and Arnold McHone to help teach their grandchildren about philanthropy. Disbursement suggested by the children on their birthdays to a fund of their choice.
Trees for Trail Fund
Established to add trees along the Allegheny River Trail.
Visual Arts Alliance
Established anonymously. This fund benefits various visual arts shows and competitions.
Kaleigh E. Wilday Endowment
Established by Skip and Greta Wilday as a memorial to their daughter Kaleigh. Grants are presented on November 10, Kaleigh’s birthday.
Kay & Oliver Williams / Rushford Endowment
Established by Mr. Williams. Fund distributions benefit eight charities in the Rushford area.
Wing Ski Club Endowment
Established by the Wing Ski Club for scholarship aid for amateur ski racing.
Woodland in the City Fund
Established by Amy Sherburne to promote the arts in Olean through various projects. Proceeds from projects, including the “squirrel” project, are to benefit the Historical and Preservation Society with the goal of creating a children’s museum.
