The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation will hold its final Nonprofit Link and Learn Seminar of the year, “Cattaraugus Gives by the Numbers,” led by CRCF Executive Director Kirk Windus and communications and fund development manager/Cattaraugus Gives coordinator Tyler Veno on Thursday, September 5 from 12 to 1 p.m.
The session will help nonprofit professionals and volunteers learn more about how to get the most out of their fundraising efforts during this year’s Cattaraugus Gives program through an analysis of fundraising data from the 2023 Cattaraugus Gives event.
Attendees will learn how to make data-informed decisions to plan best marketing and fundraising practices for this year’s Cattaraugus Gives event, a day of giving for the Cattaraugus County region, presented by CRCF since 2017.
Cattaraugus Gives is set to take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Led by CRCF, Cattaraugus Gives is a 24-hour online fundraising event joining nonprofits from across the Cattaraugus County community in both competition and collaboration. Since 2019, over $1 million has been raised to support area nonprofits.
87 participating nonprofits together raised over $305,000 last year.
Windus, who has spearheaded Cattaraugus Gives since its inception, is handing over the reins to Tyler Veno, CRCF communications and fund development manager.
Veno, a Portville native and graduate of St. Bonaventure University, brings philanthropic experience from his work at the YMCA of the Twin Tiers to the Foundation.
“We are delighted to host this seminar as part of the Cattaraugus Gives initiative. It’s an invaluable opportunity for local nonprofits to gain insights and strategies to maximize their fundraising efforts,” said Windus. “Our goal is to empower these organizations to make the most of this giving campaign, ultimately strengthening our community as a whole.”
