Alice Li, a 2019 Burt and John J. Murphy Family Scholarship recipient and the student speaker at the 2019 Friends of the Foundation Luncheon, had a memorable freshman year at Boston College in 2020. She maintained a 3.745 GPA while studying biology/pre-med while working as a lifeguard on campus and engaging in a number of campus activities. She participated in MEDLIFE, a club with the mission of empowering the poor and promoting equal access to health care, education and safe homes. She also joined Boston CHAARG, a club focused on empowering women through exercise, where she made many friends passionate about maintaining strong physical and mental health.
